Leica 35mm Summilux-M f1.4 ASPH FLE

New Close Focus - September 2022

Over recent months, Leica photographer Huw John has had the chance to put through its paces this latest version of the 35mm lens which offers a few notable updates.

Like the APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH, the revised 35mm Summilux-M features close-focusing - now from 0.7 to 0.4 meters (1.3 feet). It has an eleven-blade aperture (from nine) for improved bokeh when stopped down, and a very neat built-in retractable circular lens hood.

A very satisfying user experience, as expected producing beautiful images. The small & neat 35mm classic lens, just got even better.
